We are members of the church of Christ with a distinctive plea!
It is primarily a plea for religious unity based upon the Bible. In a divided society plagued by brokenness and dysfunction, there is a desperate need for healing. Jesus sacrificed His life in order to release healing into the earth (Isaiah 53), all one must simply do is receive it. A person is saved by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. A person must, through faith and obedience, reach out to receive this free gift of salvation. (Ephesians 1:1-10; James 2:14-26). It is our duty as the body of Christ to spread this good news message throughout the world.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
There is one true God who reveals himself to the world as The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
Jesus, the Son of God, is our only Lord and Savior, crucified for our sins and physically resurrected from the dead on the third day. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; I Corinthians 15)
The Bible is the written message of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
A person is saved by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. A person must, through faith and obedience, reach out to receive this free gift of salvation. (Ephesians 1:1-10; James 2:14-26)
As with the first Christians, when a person repents and is baptized their sins are forgiven and the Holy Spirit begins to work in their life. (Acts 2:36-41; Romans 8:5-11)
Baptized believers are added to Christ’s body, the church, by God himself. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:47)
After baptism, Christians needs to be “discipled” or taught to obey all of Jesus’ teachings. (Matthew 28:20)
Every disciple must be committed to the vision of making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20)
WHAT WE DO
We take the Gospel of Christ into all the world in order to make more disciples. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We operate as a family of believers. We rejoice with, encourage, and support each other as we navigate life. (Romans 12:14-15).
We help those who do not have, but also empower them for greater. (Matthew 19:21; Hebrews 10:21)
Every first day of the week, we come together to commemorate the death of Jesus by communing together. (Acts 20:7)
In our assemblies, each believer sings as a means to teach and encourage from the word of God. (Colossians 3:1-16)
Just as the early church did, we give of our means to show appreciation God our provider, to further the work of the kingdom, and to help those in need. (II Corinthians 9:6-15; Acts 2:44-47; I Corinthians 16:1-2)
We take advantage of the privilege of prayer to God (I John 5:14-15; Romans 8:26-28; Jams 5:16)
We search the scriptures regularly, exposing the power Christ (John 5:39)
